Mr. Congeniality!
Beautifully located in front of a picture window, Lover is one you cannot miss! Always eager to entertain guests of all ages, he is often found singing, dancing, playing with toys or reaching out as if to shake your hand in a true gentleman's greeting.
Lover was hatched in April of 1998. Umbrella Cockatoos have a lifespan of over 50 years and can hit disciples higher than a chainsaw!
At 28 years young, Lover is often described as a sour patch kid - first he’s sour, then he’s sweet. He is incredibly smart and enjoys playing with his toys, listening and dancing to music, taking baths and spending time with all of the staff, our volunteers and especially guests who visit him!
Over the past couple years, Lover has been navigating complications with his kidney. With more frequent and extensive veterinary visits, we are working to manage his kidney disease with the correct medications, supplements and proper diet.
